To Whom It May Concern
Welcome to the Holborn Whippet April 2013
The folk of Bloomsbury and Holborn parishes relaxed with a spot of whippet racing well into the 1800s. Post-racing, the locals drank ales from small breweries and ate scrumptious coal-grilled meats.
This all came to an end with the Great Bloomsbury Beer Flood of 1814. Pubs and restaurants closed, people moved away and the chains started to move in - ripping the soul out of the area.
The Holborn Whippet, on the beautiful Sicilian Avenue, is a step forward and a victory for independents.
We stock only small craft breweries, quality wines and a super Lunch and Dinner menu plus from April Ray's pizza.
We look forward to meeting you in the near future.
Yours faithfully

The Proprietor
